Why do I look so excited?

Well, it isn’t because I am a little girl in springtime. But it’s close.

Our good friend Gorpybleeder has graced us with his look at Bioware’s latest gift to RPG fanatics, and he has made quite a statement with his first review.

In keeping with FauxPop policy, I will tell you that he is a grown man in his 30s, a professional with a stressful job, a family and a history of rock and roll debauchery that may or may not be linked to his English heritage.

There are Superman kids, and there are Batman kids. There are probably a few Flash kids, maybe a Captain Marvel kid or two, and there might even be a Black Canary kid out there somewhere. I only wish I could have met her when I was ten.

I had nothing against Superman, I just didn’t think I was ever going to get that far. Batman, I thought, was something I could achieve.

The Naysayer loves the sixth season of Entourage

I have a theory that every boy assumes that some day he will grow up to be a superhero, a war hero, a race car driver, a kung fu master, a billionaire, a rock star, a sex symbol, a mountain man and a deadly sniper.

I know I did.

When I was a boy, I would have been able to give you an even longer list of awesome things I was going to be.

A comedian, a novelist, a space traveler, it just goes on and on.

Another part of this theory is that a boy’s growing up is not just about getting bigger, hairier, taller, smarter and manlier.
